On Saturday, April 20, 2013, we held our annual Celebrate UCI event, in which many students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, and families attended. Celebrate UCI consists of several great events happening all at one. Thousands of people enjoyed Wayzgoose, one of UCI’s oldest traditions, which is a large outdoor festival in Aldrich Park. It consisted of over 150 student club booths selling food, 2 stages full of entertaining acts, and other games and activities.

The Open House showed off UC Irvine services and departments to prospective students. Attendees were able to take tours of the campus, housing units, and the recreation facilities, and to meet with administrators from several departments including Financial Aid and Admissions. Additionally, the UC Irvine Police Department hosted their 15th annual Car Show on the Green. Over 100 classic cars showed up and the event and were enjoyed by all.

A big thank you goes out to Jill Halvaks and Steve Monsanto for their contributions to Celebrate UCI. We wish them well as they retire from long and impactful careers at UC Irvine.

Here are a few photos from this year’s event, just in case you missed out.
